Ernakulam Maharaja’s College traces its roots back to a school founded in the mid-19th century which over time evolved in structure and status toward a college. The college as such was formally established by around 1875. Over the years, it has grown both in academic profile and infrastructure; most recently, it marked a 150th anniversary of its inception. It is a government college, currently functioning with autonomous status. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in the state of Kerala, with a long tradition of academic excellence, cultural contributions, and alumni influence.

The articles covered different topics like Studies on Kingship (the era of absolute Monarchhy 16th to 19th Century), Editors Note, Research work on Githa, College Notes, Details about different academic committees, Result of University Examinations March 1931, Book reviews, Report on the Economic Survey conducted at the Ernakulam Village, Literary Articles like poetry, drama, literary essays in different topica written in Malayalam under the topic Sahithya Sopanam.

Through this post, we are releasing the digital scans of The Zamorin’s College Magazine – Vol – XVI – Issue 01 published in the year 1943.

The 1943 edition of Zamorin’s college Magazine comprised both English and Malayalam Sections. The English section was edited by K. Damodaran Thampan and P. Gopalan Nayar. while the Malayalam section was edited by D. Rama Varier and V. T. Vasudeva Paniker. The Magazines featured a diverse collection of literary articles and essays, addressing a wide range of topics including history. Articles are contributed by various individuals, including faculty, alumni, and other members of the college community, reflecting the intellectual and cultural vibrancy of the institution.
