The Matrimonial Review&Miscellany was a monthly periodical published from Cochin, with its first issue appearing in April 1929 under the editorship of S. R. Ayyar. It was devoted to the discussion of matrimonial issues and other contemporary social, cultural and economic topics

The magazine addressed subjects such as marriage reform, child marriage, widow re-marriage, education, maternity and child welfare, social purity, economic aspects of marriage, unemployment, rural reconstruction and the role of women in society. It also featured sections like essays, reviews, book notices and “News and Notes”

Guided by the moto “Purity, Veracity, Liberality and Utility are our watchwords” the journal aimed to encourage progressive and rational thinking, free from prejudice and conservatism.

കൊളത്തേരി ശങ്കരമേനോൻ എഡിറ്റ് ചെയ്ത ,  1926-ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ശ്രീമദ് ഭാഗവതം ഭാഷാ – വാള്യം 02 എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ സ്കാൻ ആണ് ഈ പോസ്റ്റിലൂടെ പങ്കു വെക്കുന്നത്.

1926 – ശ്രീമദ് ഭാഗവതം ഭാഷാ – വാള്യം 02

ശ്രീമത് ഭാഗവതം ഭാഷ –  (ദശമം)  എന്നത് ഭാഗവതത്തിൻ്റെ ഒരു പ്രധാന മലയാള വിവർത്തനമാണ്. ഇത് ശ്രീമൂലം മലയാളം പരമ്പര പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമാണ്. പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ഹിന്ദു ക്ലാസിക്കുകളും പുരാണങ്ങളും  മലയാള ഗദ്യത്തിലും പദ്യത്തിലും എളുപ്പത്തിൽ ലഭ്യമാകുന്ന രീതിയിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നതിനായി രാജകീയ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഇരുപതാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൻ്റെ തുടക്കത്തിൽ ആരംഭിച്ച ഒരു സംരംഭമായിരുന്നു ഈ പരമ്പര. ശീർഷകത്തിലെ “ഭാഷാ” ഇത് പ്രാദേശിക ഭാഷയിലെ ഒരു വിവർത്തനമോ വ്യാഖ്യാനമോ ആണെന്ന് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. മൂല സംസ്കൃതത്തിലെ അദ്ധ്യായങ്ങളിലെ കഥാഭാഗങ്ങൾ സംക്ഷേപിച്ചാണ് ഈ രണ്ടാം വാള്യം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രധാനമായും 56 അദ്ധ്യായങ്ങൾ ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ കാണുവാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നു. കോട്ടയം കുടമാളൂർ ചെമ്പകശ്ശേരിമഠത്തിൽ ബ്രഹ്മശ്രീ നാരായൺ മിത്രൻ നമ്പൂതിരിയുടെ കൈവശം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന താളിയോലഗ്രന്ഥമാണ് ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രകാശനത്തിന് ആധാരമായിട്ടുള്ള ഗ്രന്ഥം. കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രാദേശിക മത സാഹിത്യത്തിലെ ഒരു നാഴികക്കല്ലാണ് ഈ കൃതി.

The Proceedings of the Travancore Sri Chitra State Council (Official Report), dated 23rd July 1938 (8th Karkatakam 1113), documents the discussions and official records of the Second Council during its Third Session. This particular volume (Vol. XII – No. I to VIII) primarily focuses on financial matters concerning the state of Travancore.

Ernakulam Maharaja’s College traces its roots back to a school founded in the mid-19th century which over time evolved in structure and status toward a college. The college as such was formally established by around 1875. Over the years, it has grown both in academic profile and infrastructure; most recently, it marked a 150th anniversary of its inception. It is a government college, currently functioning with autonomous status. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in the state of Kerala, with a long tradition of academic excellence, cultural contributions, and alumni influence.
