Ernakulam Maharaja’s College traces its roots back to a school founded in the mid-19th century which over time evolved in structure and status toward a college. The college as such was formally established by around 1875. Over the years, it has grown both in academic profile and infrastructure; most recently, it marked a 150th anniversary of its inception. It is a government college, currently functioning with autonomous status. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in the state of Kerala, with a long tradition of academic excellence, cultural contributions, and alumni influence.
The contents of the magazine includes Scholarly essays on history, culture, literature, College activity summaries, Academic committee reports and faculty contributions, Student writings (literary works, opinions, poems) and Administrative info.

1954 – തിരുഹൃദയാനുകരണം

1954 – ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച, ആർനോൾഡ് . എസ്. ജെ രചിച്ച തിരുഹൃദയാനുകരണം എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ സ്കാൻ ആണ് ഈ പോസ്റ്റിലൂടെ പങ്കു വെക്കുന്നത്.

ഈശോസഭക്കാരനായ അർണ്ണോൾഡ് എന്ന വൈദീകൻ ലത്തീൻഭാഷയിൽ രചിച്ച പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ മലയാള തർജ്ജമയാണ് ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥം. പുത്തൻ പള്ളി സെമിനാരി വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ പരിശ്രമഫലമാണ് ഈ മലയാള തർജ്ജമ.ഈ മഹാഗ്രന്ഥം നാലു വകുപ്പുകൾ ആയിട്ടാണ് വിഭജിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്.

1927-ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച, മാധവനാർ രചിച്ച ഒരു ഹിമാലയയാത്ര എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ ഡിജിറ്റൽ സ്കാൻ ആണ് ഈ പോസ്റ്റിലൂടെ പങ്കു വെക്കുന്നത്

സഞ്ചാരസാഹിത്യം വളരെ അപൂർവമായിരുന്ന കാലത്താണ് മാധവനാർ തൻ്റെ ഹിമാലയൻ യാത്രാവിവരണം മാതൃഭൂമിയിലൂടെ ലേഖനപരമ്പരയായി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നത്. ഏറെക്കാലം വടക്കേ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്ന ഗ്രന്ഥകാരൻ, ജോലിയിൽ നിന്നു പിരിഞ്ഞ് 1923-ലാണ് ബനാറസിലേക്ക് യാത്രയാവുന്നത്. അവിടെ നിന്ന് ഹരിദ്വാറിലേക്കും കാൽനടയായി ഋഷികേശിലേക്കും യാത്രയാവുന്നു. ഹിന്ദുക്കളുടെ ലക്ഷണമായ ‘കുടുമ’ ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ പലയിടത്തും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആളുകൾ സംശയാസ്പദമായി വീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതായും എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

1956 – ശ്ലീഹന്മാരുടെ കുർബാന

1956 ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ശ്ലീഹന്മാരുടെ കുർബാന എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ സ്കാൻ ആണ് ഈ പോസ്റ്റിലൂടെ പങ്കു വെക്കുന്നത്.

“ദനഹാ തിരുനാളിൽ” (Epiphany season) പൗരസ്ത്യ സുറിയാനി പാരമ്പര്യത്തിൽ, ശ്ലീഹന്മാരുടെ (martyrs) ഓർമ്മയ്ക്ക് പ്രത്യേക ദിവസങ്ങൾ ആഘോഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു . ഇത് “ശ്ലീഹന്മാരുടെ കുർബാന” (martyrs’ Eucharist) എന്ന ഒരു ആശയം കൊണ്ടാണ് ബന്ധപ്പെടുന്നത്.

ശ്ലീഹന്മാരുടെ കുർബാന, കൽദായ സുറിയാനി ക്രമത്തിലെ കുർബാനയുടെ തിരുകർമ്മങ്ങളും പ്രാർത്ഥനകളും സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള ഒരു ഗ്രന്ഥമാണ് . കൽദായ സുറിയാനി കുർബാനയിലെ പ്രാർത്ഥനകൾ, തിരു കർമ്മങ്ങളുടെ വ്യാഖ്യാനങ്ങൾ, വിശദീകരണങ്ങൾ മുതലായവ ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിൽ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥം തിരുകർമ്മത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ഗവേഷണപരമായ ഒരു പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണമാണു് എന്നു പറയാവുന്നതാണു്.
