Ernakulam Maharaja’s College traces its roots back to a school founded in the mid-19th century which over time evolved in structure and status toward a college. The college as such was formally established by around 1875. Over the years, it has grown both in academic profile and infrastructure; most recently, it marked a 150th anniversary of its inception. It is a government college, currently functioning with autonomous status. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in the state of Kerala, with a long tradition of academic excellence, cultural contributions, and alumni influence.

The first All Kerala Convention of the Religious Brothers in 1978 opened the way for the formation of the Kerala Assembly of Religious Brothers. Scattered in various congregations the brothers had no opportunity to know each other and to pool their resources for the development of the church. This Directory has been published as a medium for mutual understanding and unity of the Brothers. The updated addresses of all the Religious Brothers are listed in this Directory.
