Through this post we are releasing the scan of of the book The Persecuted Priest Acquitted released in the year 1967.
This book is all abut the prosecution of Fr. Benedict and judgement for an alleged murder, his conviction and release thereafter. This case popularly known as Madatharuvi case refers to a murder in Kerala. The case involved the murder of a widow named Mariyakutty in the year 1966. A priest, Fr. Benedict Onamkulam, was convicted of the crime. Sessions court sentenced the priest to death but the Church approached the high court and freed him.
