1945 – മലബാർ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ കോളേജ് മാഗസിൻ

The 1944–’45 annual edition of The Malabar Christian College Magazine offers a bilingual window into the wartime intellectual climate of northern Kerala. The compilation features both English and Malayalam sections contributed by faculty, students, and alumni. The English contents balance spiritual and secular critiques, ranging from Rabindranath Tagore’s opening prayer and institutional progress reports to progressive societal essays on the ethics of meat-eating and Mahatma Gandhi’s Wardha scheme of education. Complementing these, the Malayalam section leans heavily toward creative expression, showcasing contemporary poetry and critical literary analyses of classic regional works like Kumaran Asan’s Nalini. Collectively, this volume serves as a vital historical record of the socio-political awareness, pedagogical debates, and literary vitality driving the college community during a transformative mid-40s era.
