The State Central Library in Thiruvananthapuram, popularly known as the Trivandrum Public Library, is one of India’s oldest and most historic public libraries. It was established in 1829 during the reign of Maharaja Swathi Thirunal of Travancore and initially served a select circle of scholars and royal durbar attendees. It was formally opened to the broader public in 1898

The 1939 Trivandrum Public Library Catalogue, Vol. 01 is a historical library catalogue originally published by the Trivandrum Public Library. This catalogue represents a comprehensive listing of books and other materials in the library’s collection as of 1939. In that era, before computerized catalogues, such printed books were the main way libraries organized and shared information about their collections for scholars, students, and readers. Volume I typically focuses on specific categories of literature (such as English literature and other subjects) according to traditional classification systems used at the time

1965-ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച, വള്ളത്തോൾ രചിച്ച സാഹിത്യമഞ്ജരി (എട്ടാം ഭാഗം) എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ ഡിജിറ്റൽ സ്കാൻ ആണ് ഈ പോസ്റ്റിലൂടെ പങ്കു വെക്കുന്നത്

പതിനൊന്നു ഭാഗങ്ങളായാണ് സാഹിത്യമഞ്ജരി പ്രസിദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. 1917 മുതൽ 1958 വരെ കാലഘട്ടങ്ങളിൽ രചിച്ച കവിതകളാണ് ഇതിലുൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. പന്ത്രണ്ടു കവിതകളുടെ സമാഹാരമാണ് എട്ടാം ഭാഗത്തുള്ളത്. കവിതകൾ എഴുതിയ കാലവും വരികളുടെ അർത്ഥവും ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന വിശദീകരണം എല്ലാ പേജിലും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

ഭാഷാസംബന്ധിയായ പഠനങ്ങളുടെയും സാഹിത്യ നിരൂപണങ്ങളുടെയും ഒരു സമാഹാരമാണ് ഈ പുസ്തകം. മലയാള ഭാഷാ-സാഹിത്യത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ വശങ്ങൾ വിമർശനാത്മകമായി പരിശോധിക്കുകയും, ആധുനിക ഭാഷാസാഹിത്യ പഠനത്തിൽ എന്താണ് ഭാഷയുടെ സ്ഥാനം എന്നതിൽ വിശകലനം നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

പ്രേമദർശനം എന്ന പേരിൽ വി. എൻ പരമേശ്വരൻ നമ്പൂതിരി എഴുതിയ ഭക്തിസൂത്രങ്ങൾ അടങ്ങിയ നീണ്ട ലേഖനമാണ് എല്ലാ മാസികകളുടെയും തുടക്കത്തിൽ കൊടുത്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. ലേഖനങ്ങൾ, കവിതകൾ, വിദ്യാർത്ഥിപംക്തി, പുസ്തകാഭിപ്രായം, മഹദ് വാക്യങ്ങൾ, കടംകഥകൾ എന്നിവ മാസികയുടെ ഉള്ളടക്കത്തിൽ കാണുന്നു. 1928-ൽ രചിക്കപ്പെട്ടതെന്നു കരുതുന്ന വിധിവിളയാട്ടം എന്ന നോവൽ പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ലക്കത്തിൽ വായിക്കാം. മാസികയുടെ പ്രസാധനം, അച്ചടി എന്നിവയെക്കുറിച്ച് എവിടെയും രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടില്ല

The Fifth Annual Report (1953-54) of the Indian Central Arecanut Committee is a valuable historical document that captures the early post-independence efforts to organize, regulate, and strengthen India’s arecanut sector.
