Through this post we are releasing the scan of the book Mahatma Gandhi and Bihar – Some Reminiscences, published in 1949. It was written by Babu Rajendra Prasad, who later became President of India. He was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi for more than 30 years.
This book is a collection of the author’s reminiscences of Gandhi’s activities in Bihar, including the satyagraha at Champaran and other events relating to India’s independence movement. The relief efforts in connection with the Bihar earthquake of 1934 are also described, as well as the Hindu – Muslim tensions.
