The Snow Queen is a Christmas fairy tale, written by the famous Danish story teller Hans Andersen (also spelled Anderson). The story centres on two children, Karl and Gerda, and the theme is the fight between good and evil. The title refers to the evil character, the Snow Queen. In the original story, Karl’s name is Kai.
