Through this post, we are releasing the digital scan of Thirteen Trivandrum Plays Attributed To Bhasa- Volume II published in the year 1931.

Thirteen Trivandrum Plays Attributed to Bhasa, Volume II (1931), published by Oxford University Press for the University of the Panjab, features English translations by A.C. Woolner and Lakshman Sarup of seven Sanskrit dramas from Trivandrum manuscripts edited by T. Ganapati Sastri, Dūta-vākya, Dūta-ghātotkaca, Karṇa-bhāra, Ūrubhaṅga, Avimāraka, Bālacarita, and Abhiṣeka. These pre-Kālidāsa works highlight Bhāsa’s concise style, pathos, and bold narratives like the tragic thigh-breaking in Ūrubhaṅga, though modern scholars debate full attribution to him.
