1964 – ആറാം പൗലോസ് മാർപാപ്പാ – സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ പുല്ലോപ്പിള്ളി

1964 ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച, സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ പുല്ലോപ്പിള്ളി രചിച്ച ആറാം പൗലോസ് മാർപാപ്പാ എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ സ്കാൻ ആണ് ഈ പോസ്റ്റിലൂടെ പങ്കു വെക്കുന്നത്.

ഇത് മലയാളത്തിലെ കത്തോലിക്കസഭാ ചരിത്രരചനകളിൽ ഒരു പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ജീവചരിത്രകൃതിയാണ്. പോപ്പ് പോൾ ആറാമൻ്റെ (Pope Paul VI, 1897–1978) ബാല്യം, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം, ജീവിതവും സഭാപ്രവർത്തനവും, 1963-ൽ പോപ്പായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടതിനു ശേഷമുള്ള അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വ്യക്തിത്വവും ലോകസഭയ്ക്കു നൽകിയ സംഭാവനകളും, വത്തിക്കാൻ രണ്ടാം കൗൺസിൽ (Second Vatican Council) കാലഘട്ടത്തിലെ പങ്ക്. ആധുനിക ലോകത്ത് കത്തോലിക്കാസഭയുടെ പുതുമുഖം തുറന്നുനൽകിയ നേതാവെന്ന നിലയിൽ പോൾ VI-ന്റെ ദർശനം എന്നീ വിഷയങ്ങൾ പ്രതിപാദിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Ernakulam Maharaja’s College traces its roots back to a school founded in the mid-19th century which over time evolved in structure and status toward a college. The college as such was formally established by around 1875. Over the years, it has grown both in academic profile and infrastructure; most recently, it marked a 150th anniversary of its inception. It is a government college, currently functioning with autonomous status. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in the state of Kerala, with a long tradition of academic excellence, cultural contributions, and alumni influence.
