Through this post, we are releasing the scan of the book Syro Malabar Liturgy – History of Developement written by A. Mathias Mundadan published in the year 1982.

The Author was the Rector of Dharmaram College, Bangalore (1975-78) and President of Dharmaram Pontifical Institute of Theology and Philosophy, Bangalore (1976-78). He has a Doctorate in Church History from Gregorian University, Rome. This book focuses on the major changes which took place in the East Syrian liturgy in the course of its development from the second/third to the seventh century. The awareness of these changes provide us with those lessons that are required for an earnest effort in the direction of liturgical reform quite appropriate to India with its rich cultural heritage and its modern outlook and present day needs.
