Through this post, we are releasing the digital scans of Coconut Bulletin – Volume – XVII – Issue 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08 09,10, 11&12 published in the year 1963 & 1964 .
The “Coconut Bulletin” was a monthly publication issued by the Indian Central Coconut Committee, which was established in 1945 under the Indian Coconut Committee Act of 1944 for the development of coconut cultivation in India. This bulletin was published in English as “Coconut Bulletin,” in Malayalam as “Nalikera Bulletin,” and in Kannada as “Thengina Bulletin,” serving as an important channel for disseminating information and updates on coconut research, cultivation, and industry development.The Coconut Bulletin included articles, research findings, plantation news, and committee activities, and played a significant role in guiding farmers, researchers, and stakeholders in the coconut sector. While the original committee and its bulletins are now of historical relevance, documents and annual reports from its era can be accessed through certain archives and libraries. Currently, research and extension activities related to coconuts are continued by institutions like the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) and the Coconut Development Board, both of which publish regular journals and research bulletins on coconut science and industry trends.
