Abstract
This official historical publication documents the War Services Exhibition held at the Herbert Playing Fields in Ernakulam, Cochin State, opening on December 3, 1944. Inaugurated by His Highness Sree Ravi Varma, Maharaja of Cochin, in the presence of key British and State officials including Resident Lieut. Col. C. G. N. Edwards and Diwan Sir George Boag, the event was recognized as one of the most prominent exhibitions hosted in the region during the era. The publication provides a detailed account of Cochin State's contributions to the Allied war efforts during World War II across the Army, Navy, and Air Force sectors. It captures historical proceedings, including royal inspections, military guards of honor, model town exhibits, and speeches highlighting the administrative, financial, and logistical endeavors of Cochin State. Through rich photographic coverage and official remarks, this document serves as an important historical record of World War II-era civic defense, propaganda, and regional governance in princely Kerala.
