Abstract
CPI(M) Political Resolution is a policy document adopted by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) at its 18th Party Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) held in New Delhi in April 2005. The resolution analyzes the national and international political situation and outlines the party’s political strategy and tasks. The document criticizes the impact of imperialism and neoliberal globalization, arguing that these policies increase economic inequality and exploitation. It also evaluates the political developments in India after the 2004 general elections, which led to the formation of the United Progressive Alliance government supported externally by Left parties.
