Abstract
With the aim of establishing a consulting and research library of rare books, including Sanskrit–Malayalam manuscripts and granthas, giving special emphasis to works related to the old Kerala territories Rama Varma Research Institute was started in Kochi in 1925. In 1958 it was transferred to Kerala Sahithya Academy. The first Issue of bulletin was published in 1930. Altogether 15 volumes were published, the last one in 1948. This volume includes - Medieval kerala History, A note on Cheraman Perumal, The Diwans of cochin, Place names in cochin state, A primer of malayalam phonology etc.
