Abstract
Malabar Compensation for Tenants Improvements Act, (Act 1 of 1900) is a historical agrarian reform statute enacted to secure tenants the value of their improvements upon ejectment. The law ensures that qualifying tenants, mortgagees, or occupiers in parts of the former Malabar district and adjacent areas receive full and fair compensation for value-adding improvements before they can be evicted or dispossessed.
