ബെഞ്ചമിൻ ബെയിലി പരിഭാഷയ്ക്ക് നേതൃത്വം കൊടുത്ത് 1826-1829 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ബൈബിൾ പുതിയ നിയമത്തിൻ്റെ 1834-ൽ ഇറങ്ങിയ രണ്ടാം പതിപ്പാണ് ഇത്. പുതിയ നിയമത്തിലെ നാലു സുവിശേഷങ്ങളും അപ്പൊസ്തൊലപ്രവർത്തികളും ആണ് ഇതിൽ അടങ്ങിയിട്ടുള്ളത്. ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ ഓരോ വാചകങ്ങൾ അവസാനിക്കുമ്പോഴും ഉള്ള വിരാമത്തിനു * ചിഹ്നം ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. 1824നും 1829നും ഇടയ്ക്ക് ആയിരിക്കണം പുതിയ നിയമത്തിലെ നാലു സുവിശേഷങ്ങളും അപ്പൊസ്തൊലപ്രവർത്തികളും അടങ്ങുന്ന ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ ആദ്യത്തെ പതിപ്പ് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്. ഇത് ആ പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ രണ്ടാം പതിപ്പ് ആണ്. ബെയിലി ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിൽ അവധിക്ക് പോയപ്പോൾ അവിടെത്തന്നെ മലയാളം അച്ച് നിർമ്മിച്ച് അച്ചടിച്ചതാണ് ഈ പുസ്തകം.

Benjamin Bailey led the translation of the New Testament into Malayalam between 1826 and 1829. This volume is the second edition of The New Testament of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Translated into the Malayalim Language, published in 1834, and contains the four Gospels along with the Acts of the Apostles. During his vacation in England, Bailey supervised the preparation of the Malayalam print plates and arranged for the book to be printed there. A notable typographical feature of the edition is its use of an asterisk after each sentence in place of a conventional full stop.
