It Explores the historical foundations of the Church&#8217;s canon law, which is influenced by East Syriac (Chaldean) traditions.It also discusses The Synods of Diamper (1599), a major event when Latin (Roman Catholic) authority tried to standardize and Latinize the practices of the Thomas Christians. This book mentions about the Indigenous traditions of pre-Portuguese times, heavily linked to East Syrian Christian traditions and\u00a0\u00a0Acts of early local councils and customary law among the Saint Thomas Christians.
