Through this post we are releasing the scan of The Matrimonial Review &<\/strong> Miscellany<\/strong>, Issue 1,2,3,4,6 published in the year 1929.\"\"1929 – The Matrimonial Review & Miscellany <\/span><\/p>\n

The Matrimonial Review&Miscellany was a monthly periodical published from Cochin, with its first issue appearing in April 1929 under the editorship of S. R. Ayyar. It was devoted to the discussion of matrimonial issues and other contemporary social, cultural and economic topics<\/p>\n

The magazine addressed subjects such as marriage reform, child marriage, widow re-marriage, education, maternity and child welfare, social purity, economic aspects of marriage, unemployment, rural reconstruction and the role of women in society. It also featured sections like essays, reviews, book notices and “News and Notes”<\/p>\n

Guided by the moto “Purity, Veracity, Liberality and Utility are our watchwords” the journal aimed to encourage progressive and rational thinking, free from prejudice and conservatism.<\/p>\n
